Amy McEachern has been in the move coordinating and organizing business for over 24 years. After helping friends put their lives back together after the Northridge earthquake in L.A. in 1994, Amy discovered that she had a unique gift with respect to the understanding of spatial relationship, logic and the human condition. Some friends lovingly likened it to that of an idiot savant and encouraged her to pursue it at a professional level.
For over two decades now, that’s exactly what she’s done, helping hundreds of people navigate not only their relocations, but the life transitions that so often go along with them.
She was the founder and sole owner of Creative Order, a premier Organizing and Move Coordinating Company in Los Angeles for 10 years, which grew to a crew of 17 all women packers/organizers, 2 office staff, and a client base that included some of the biggest players in Hollywood. They became known as the “Hand-holders of the Moving Industry.”
In 2003, she dissolved Creative Order to take a sabbatical. After a few years of surfing and traveling, she realized that organizing was in her blood. Fully rested and re-energized, she started Creative Moving and dove back in. A few years later, Amy moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and continues to offer her services in the area.
Amy helps her clients by working with them to first figure out all of their move logistics, as well as any special considerations required in the process. She then puts together a plan, brings in all the right people to make it happen, oversees the sorting, the packing process and any other move day preparations, orchestrates the actual move day, and finally, reorganizes everything at the new house – making it a home.
Amy is a perfect example of how to make a living doing what you love. She combines service that rivals internationally renowned day spas, support and comfort previously provided only by a best friend, and efficiency that would make a military general proud.
